This is a new site and will take us all a little while to learn how to use it. Thankfully, proboards has created an excellent member guide to help us all learn about how to use the functions of the site, and I am already so much happier with the great offerings that this site has! help.proboards.com/memberguide/index.htmlWith this link, you can learn how to create threads, post messages (and edit or delete them!), send a private message (or block a user from sending you a PM!), create and modify your profile, bookmark threads (yes! if you love a thread, you can bookmark it so you don't have to go search for it!), search for already created threads (to avoid duplicates) and how to navigate the site... and many more! Please try to make subject lines specific.
The title "I have a question" is not going to help someone who is trying to find information about house hunting trips or common law! Please make your subject line as concise and relevant as possible to the subject! Moderators will edit subject lines as needed or move threads to keep the forums looking clean and organized.
Explore away and find all the fun things we can do with this forum! Please take the time to read these BEFORE asking questions (in this thread) about how to use the site! It will save everyone a lot of time! If you have a question, post it in here! Thanks for your cooperation! Meg and Dina

Modify Profile. Avatar. Avatar URL.
You cannot "upload" a pic... you must choose one that has a URL address (aka - online).

Thanks to Judith for taking the time to write out instructions about how to get your "old" pic as an avatar!
Megan-
I was wondering if we could post instructions on how to get your old avatar back as a sticky.
1. Choose whatever picture you want as your avatar. Upload it on photobucket.
2. Click on the picture so it becomes full size. Once it's full size, right click, click on "properties". A window will pop up and there will be url. It will start with http:// and end with jpg. Copy the url.
4. Go to your profile. Click Modify Profile. Paste the url into "Avatar Url" on your profile, scroll down and hit modify profile.

Please let me know if you have any forum issues or problems. 1- I noticed some missing posts recently but don't know if users selected to delete their posts. 2- Some people had problems getting passwords sent to them. Let me know! We'll always try to get to the bottom of issues!
