Welcome to Canadian Military Girlfriends! We're glad you decided to join us!

Before registering, please read the following. By registering, you are AGREEING to follow the following rules and regulations.
Please read the following rules and regulations very carefully, in order to ensure that this discussion board provides an enjoyable, supportive and safe environment for everyone. Failure to follow the below rules will result in 3 warnings, at which time the offending member will be banned for the board for any subsequent offense.
1- Firstly and most importantly - understand and follow Operations Security Protocol (OPSEC). Operations Security, or OPSEC, is keeping potential adversaries from discovering our critical information. As the name suggests, it protects our operations – planned, in progress, and those completed. Success depends on secrecy and surprise, so the military can accomplish the mission faster and with less risk. Our adversaries want our information, and they don’t concentrate on only soldiers to get it. Even though information may not be secret, it can be what we call “critical information.”
Critical information deals with specific facts about military intentions, capabilities, operations or activities. If an adversary knew this detailed information, our mission accomplishment and personnel safety could be jeopardized. It must be protected to ensure an adversary doesn’t gain a significant advantage. By being a member of the military family, you will often know some bits of critical information.
Examples Of Critical Information:
• Detailed information about the mission of assigned units.
• Details on locations and times of unit deployments, including departures, returns and HLTA's
• Personnel transactions that occur in large numbers (Example: pay information, powers of attorney, wills, deployment information).
• References to trends in unit morale or personnel problems.
• Details concerning security procedures

2- Please search forum threads for a topic before beginning a new one. Ex: Before you decide to make a new topic about "care packages", please check to see if one has already been made. Chances are, it has been! This way, we can keep all the information on one subject in one thread - it makes it easier for users (they can find everything in one place) and it makes it easier for admins to keep the discussion forum looking neat and tidy!
3 - Respect everyone else on the forum. Not everyone will always get along and you won't always agree with everyone else but it is important that we maintain a climate of respect of the board. The online world is just like the real one - there are people you will like and ones you won't - ones that will annoy you or frustrate you and who won't share your opinions. Just like in 'real life', no one expects you to like or get along with everyone; we just must be as respectful as possible in our interactions and remember that we can disagree without being rude. Remember, there IS the private message option and this might be a good option for some members to use in certain circumstances.
4- We have a no vendor policy in place here. This board is not meant for free advertising of products or service. Please respect the nature of this board and do not post unsolicited products or services.
If you have any questions or concerns at any time, please email me at canadianmilitarygirlfriends@gmail.com or private message me.
Also, if you have a concern about a specific post, at the bottom of the post there is a button "report to mod" - please click on it and we will review the post.
